MagniLink TAB is a Windows-based low-vision tablet system from Low Vision International (LVI) that combines a Microsoft Surface Pro tablet with specially adapted software and an external high-quality camera to serve as a portable video magnifier, OCR reader, and full computer. It’s designed to help users with visual impairments read documents, view objects or distant scenes, write or fill out forms, and navigate the web — all with magnified visuals and optional text-to-speech, thus making everyday tasks and long reading sessions much more accessible.

  • Adjustable magnification (0.8×–40×): The external camera provides strong magnification for reading printed text, viewing objects, or even distance viewing.
  • Built-in OCR + Text-to-Speech:Print or handwritten text can be OCR-processed and read aloud, enabling hands-free reading or listening(OCR on handwritting is only included iwth the optional AI software bundle).
  • Full Windows tablet computer: Because it’s based on a Microsoft Surface Pro, the TAB doubles as a standard Windows PC — you can browse, email, write documents, use standard software, etc.
